Calling instructions. When dialing or faxing from outside of the university (but within Germany), it is necessary to first dial 0 plus the city code: 251, then the university code: 83 and, finally, the four-digit number of the person you wish to speak to (dailing example: 0251-83- ####). For  international calls from outside the country, you must use first dial the country code for Germany +49 then the three-digit city code: 251 followed by 83, then the four-digit number (dialing example: 0049-251-83- ####).
