Learning from quantified episodic prediction errors: Individual biases in gist revision
Erinnerungen enthalten nicht nur Informationen über die Vergangenheit. Stattdessen helfen sie uns auch, die Zukunft vorherzusagen und Erwartungen zu generieren, was in einer Situation als Nächstes passieren wird. Wenn eine Erinnerung abgerufen wird, um Vorhersagen zu treffen, kann sie verändert werden, beispielsweise wenn die Vorhersage falsch war (prediction error; PE). Wir interessieren uns dafür, in welchem Ausmaß und auf welche Weise PEs Erinnerungen verändern können, und welche Eigenschaften episodische PEs haben, die solche Veränderungen auslösen.
Aufbauend auf einem früheren Projekt, in dem die Art der PEs (qualitativ) manipuliert wurde, werden wir episodische PEs quantitativ manipulieren. Zudem werden wir soziale Interaktionen als naturalistische, persönlich bedeutsame Stimuli nutzen. Wir verwenden dafür ein mehrstufiges Paradigma, bei dem die Gehirnaktivität der Versuchspersonen sowohl während der Enkodierung als auch während des Abrufs von Episoden im MRT gemessen wird.
