About the graduate survey
Over 7,000 students graduated from the University of Münster in the winter semester 2021/22 and summer semester 2022. Some of them continued their studies, enrolled in doctoral programmes or started working, others completed an internship or commenced a practical year, while others chose to travel or took a break from their studies and professional life in other ways.
The University of Münster is very interested in learning about the different paths graduates take after their studies, for only then is it possible to analyse the impact of the University’s academic conditions on their future life and career. In addition, their assessment of academic conditions and the qualifications they obtained during their studies provide crucial information on what areas of academics and teaching the University of Münster can further improve. Consequently, the University has conducted annual, broad-based graduate surveys since 2007 in order to learn more about the graduates’ professional endeavours and gain retrospective evaluation of degree programmes. The response rate has always been substantial; in our most recent survey, over 50 percent responded!
The results of the graduate surveys are presented in the form of short reports, tabular, text-enhanced time series, and volumes of tables. The data is analysed on a continual basis, and the results are successively presented and augmented on this website. Furthermore, individually customised reports of results or datasets can be created upon request.
