Sponsors and alumni of the University of Münster
A number of special projects in research, teaching and academics are supported by friends and sponsors of the University of Münster. On the following pages, we present a selection of these projects and cordially invite you to join us in supporting the University. For more information, please feel free to contact the staff of the University Fundraising Department.
The University also strives to maintain close contact with former students and staff. As the University's largest network, the Alumni Club Universität Münster can help you stay in touch with other alumni and your alma mater. There are also alumni associations in faculties and institutes which strengthen the network in individual subject areas.

25 Years of the Alumni Club: The Best Way to Stay Connected
In 2001, the University of Münster founded the Alumni Club as a central hub for all former employees and students. Today, 25 years later, with more than 31,000 members, it is the university’s largest network. Across Germany, alumni of the university connect through regional groups or return to their alma mater to participate in events such as the annual Alumni Day.
Your Photo with the Nike
The golden Nike, which has served as the Alumni Club’s emblem since its very inception, plays a very special role in this anniversary year. In collaboration with the Institute of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, a life-size Nike made of aluminum has been produced.
Would you like to take a photo with the golden Nike? Then please visit us at the Kavaliershäuschen at Schlossplatz 6, 48149 Münster.
With your consent, the photos will be published on the anniversary website or may be posted on your own social media accounts using the hashtag #AlumniClubMS.

University of Münster thanks 113 ProTalent sponsors
Around 300 cheerful guests, plenty of music with an extraordinary encore, and an interesting keynote speech: this year's scholarship ceremony at the University of Münster offered sponsors and scholarship recipients of the ProTalent scholarship program a varied program. The scholarship recipients' résumés not only showed excellent academic achievements, but also a remarkable level of social, community, and university involvement, emphasized Rector Prof. Dr. Johannes Wessels. “The diversity of your interests, experiences, and backgrounds is a great strength—for our university and for our society as a whole.” At the same time, he thanked the 113 sponsors. “With your commitment, you not only recognize the achievements and potential of the scholarship recipients, but also give them confidence, encouragement, and motivation for their future paths.”

The award was presented for the 20th time this year. To celebrate the anniversary, the founder, Hon. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Andreas Raymond Dombret, current and former award winners, and their doctoral supervisors gathered at the A2 am Aasee and exchanged ideas about their career paths in companies, ministries, and universities in a festive atmosphere.
