We ask for your help!
The coronavirus pandemic is not yet over, the war in Ukraine poses major challenges to all of us, and we are confronted with the consequences every day. We are especially concerned about those students who are already struggling to stay afloat. To help them, the University of Münster has now established the WWU Crisis Fund, financed solely through donations. Students are eligible to receive up to 300 euros per semester, and in cases of dire hardship, up to 450 euros. Following a review of their application on the basis of defined criteria and a recommendation by the AStA Social Counselling Office, students are awarded a grant which need not be repaid.
The WWU Crisis Fund is the follow-up programme to the Corona Emergency Fund which provided students who were struggling financially during the pandemic with over 800,000 euros in donations between 2020 and 2022. The WWU Crisis Fund is a permanent measure which can also provide assistance to other students in need, e.g. to pay for language courses for refugee students, which can offer them better prospects at succeeding academically at a German university.
We stand together in solidarity with those impacted by this crisis.
Please join us and donate to the WWU Crisis Fund!

Donations to the University are tax deductible. We would be happy to issue you a donation receipt (for donations under 300 euros, the tax office requires only simple confirmation, e.g. your bank statement).
