International researchers & staff

The University of Münster provides comprehensive support to international researchers and host faculties in planning and carrying out research stays. The Researchers and Staff department of the International Office is your first point of contact for all matters related to research stays. Our work focuses on attracting and retaining international talent, informing and advising international researchers and their host facilities, and promoting staff mobility to strengthen international networks. These measures facilitate successful international research collaborations and enhance the global visibility of the University of Münster.

Research Alumni Network

The Research Alumni Strategy (RE.AL) at the University of Münster actively promotes networking among international research alumni through exceptional and sustainable activities, aimed at building and maintaining a global research community.

Research marketing and scholarships

Research marketing activities are a key component of the University of Münster's mission to attract and retain top-level talent from around the world. Consequently, our scholarships allow researchers and academics to pursue their own research interests at the University's various faculties.

Researcher and staff mobility

Staff mobility measures allow all researchers and employees at the University of Münster to obtain training abroad and share their expertise with colleagues at the international level. With our extensive portfolio of mobility measures, we help advance the professional and personal development of our University staff and improve the internationalisation, quality and attractiveness of the University of Münster.
