  • What we do & who to contact

    Please include your matriculation number, your degree program and your exam regulations in your e-mails. If you contact us more than once about something, use the reply feature of your e-mail program so that we can find all the information in one e-mail. Please note that processing your request can take at least a week.

  • Recognitions

    Fachstudien

    If you have changed universities or if you have changed your study programme at the English Department, it might be possible to have some of your credit points recognised for your new study programme. For enquiries about possible recognition of credit points please send us

    1. Your name, current study programme and matriculation number
    2. An authenticated transcript of records from your previous university/study programme

    Recognition of pre-university stays abroad

    You have already been abroad prior to your studies and would like to have this recognised for the Work Experience Module? This is only possible if the stay abroad was completed within the year before you took up your studies. Please send us:

    1. Your name, study programme and matriculation number
    2. A confirmation by your employer of 210 working hours completed
    3. Train or flight tickets showing that you have spent at least 12 weeks abroad

    LZV-Angleichsstudien

    Sollten Sie ihr Bachelorstudium an einer anderen Universität gemacht haben und bei uns den Master of Education gewählt haben, müssen Sie evtl. noch Angleichungsstudien erbringen, um die Vorgaben der Lehramtszugangsverordnung (LZV) zu erfüllen. 

    Wenden Sie sich bitte zunächst an das LZV Büro der Uni Münster. Dort bekommen Sie erste Informationen und Formulare. Kontaktieren Sie uns dann bitte unter beres@uni-muenster.de (mit "LZV" im Betreff) und schicken uns folgende Informationen: 

    1. Ihren Studiengang und Ihre genaue Prüfungsordnung (z.B. M.Ed. Gym/Ges PO 2021) sowie Ihre Matrikelnummer
    2. Leiten Sie uns bitte die E-Mail des LZV-Büros weiter mit der Übersichtstabelle, aus der hervorgeht, welche Leistungen Sie für die LZV Angleichungsstudien noch erbringen müssen. 
    3. Ggf. (nur, falls laut Mail des LZV Büros Ihre Leistungen in der Fachdidaktik Englisch und / oder Ihr Auslandsaufenthalt noch überprüft werden müssen): Transcript of Records Ihrer vorherigen Universität und / oder Nachweis über Ihren Auslandsaufenthalt und die entsprechenden mit Ihren persönlichen Angaben vorausgefüllten Formulare für Fachdidaktik / Auslandsaufenthalt.

  • BAFÖG information

    Studierende, die für den Weiterbezug von BAföG über das Formblatt 5 ihren Studienstand im Fach Englisch bzw. Anglistik/Amerikanistik nachweisen müssen, reichen bitte Folgendes bei Dr. Handl unter bafoeges@uni-muenster.de ein:

    Bei über QISPOS verwalteten Studiengängen: 

    1. Ihren Namen, Studiengang und Matrikelnummer
    2. ein im oberen Teil mit Ihren Daten vorausgefülltes Formblatt 5, das Sie beim BAFöG-Amt erhalten 
    3. einen Kontrollausdruck aus QISPOS (bitte kein offizielles ToR vom Prüfungsamt).

    Bitte beachten Sie: Bitte speichern Sie die Dokumente unter Ihrem Nachnamen_Typ des Dokuments. Sie erhalten das Formblatt 5 per E-Mail von uns zurück und müssen es dann selbst an das Studierendenwerk senden.

    Bei über SLCM verwalteten Studiengängen: 

    1. Ihren Namen, Studiengang und Matrikelnummer
    2. Ein im oberen Teil mit Ihren Daten vorausgefülltes Formblatt 5, das Sie beim BAFöG-Amt erhalten
    3. Ein vorläufiges ToR, das Sie in der App Studienfortschritt finden. 

    Bitte beachten Sie: Bitte speichern Sie die Dokumente unter Ihrem Nachnamen_Typ des Dokuments. Sie erhalten das Formblatt 5 von uns per E-Mail zurück und müssen es dann selbst an das Studierendenwerk senden.

    Wenn Ihre Studien Leistungen aus dem Wintersemester 2025/26 oder einschließen, müssen Sie für eine positive Bestätigung Ihrer Leistungen die untenstehenden Punktwerte erreichen. Wenn Sie die von uns zu überprüfenden Leistungen ausschließlich vor dem Wintersemester 2025/26 erbracht haben, prüfen wir Ihren Leistungsstand anhand des Studienverlaufsplans. 

    Falls eine Erkrankung Sie davon abgehalten hat, eine Leistung zu erbringen, welche für einen positiven Leistungsbescheid nötig gewesen wäre, dann wird dies auf dem Formblatt vermerkt, sodass Ihre Zahlungen nicht beeinträchtigt werden. Dazu müssen Sie zusammen mit den o.g. Unterlagen ein ärztliches Attest einreichen.

    Falls Sie im Ausland sind, wenn Sie das Formblatt 5 benötigen, können Sie jemanden beauftragen, sich während Ihrer Abwesenheit um Ihre universitären Angelegenheiten zu kümmern. Diese Person muss die benötigten Dokumente vorweisen, sowie deren Personalausweis und diese Vollmacht.

  • Cases of hardships

    In certain cases, specific life circumstances can threaten to make studying unusually difficult, for instance for students who…

      … have a disability or chronic illness; or

      … have young children to look after; or

      … are providing nursing care for close relatives.

    The university offers several support structures to help such students to cope with their studies, for instance with regard to advisory services, timetable planning, etc. If you are facing such a case of hardship, please contact the Zentrale Studienberatung  for further information.

    Please check the site Registration to learn about special consideration for cases of hardship with respect to course allocation or compensating measures for specific types of exams.

    Students who are parents are encouraged to consult the website of the University’s office for equality to learn about support services available to them.
