herzlich willkommen am Englischen Seminar der Universität Münster! Dieser Bereich der Website ist speziell für Erstsemester-Studierende eingerichtet, damit Sie alle Informationen für den Studienstart gebündelt abrufen können.
Wir führen Sie gerne durch den Studienstart, stehen zur Beantwortung Ihrer Fragen zur Verfügung und machen Sie mit allen für Sie ungewohnten und zunächst vielleicht verwirrenden Abläufen an unserer Universität und in unseren Studiengängen vertraut.
Wenn Sie zum Wintersemester 2023/24 Ihr Bachelorstudium bei uns beginnen, merken Sie sich bitte den 4. Oktober 2023, 10:15 Uhr für die Einführungsveranstaltung vor. Der Termin findet bei uns im Englischen Seminar (3. Etage, Audi Max) statt. Treten Sie dazu auch unbedingt unserem Learnweb-Kurs für Erstsemester: „Erstsemestereinführung Englisches Seminar WiSe 23/24“ bei (Einschreibeschlüssel: Bachelor Englisch)!
Wenn Sie zum Wintersemester 2023/24 Ihr Studium mit dem Abschlussziel Master of Education bei uns beginnen, merken Sie sich bitte den 4. Oktober 2023, 13:15 Uhr für die Einführungsveranstaltung im Audi Max vor.
Leider sind der Audi Max ebenso und weitere Unterrichtsräume des Englischen Seminars derzeit nicht barrierefrei zugänglich. Falls Sie Ihr Studium zum Wintersemester 2023/24 neu aufnehmen und aufgrund einer Beeinträchtigung keine Treppen steigen können, wenden Sie sich bitte per Mail an die Kustodin: anna.rapp[at]uni-muenster.de, sodass wir geeignete Maßnahmen finden können, um sicherzustellen, dass Sie alle relevanten Informationen erhalten.
Bei Fragen bezüglich des ersten Semesters wenden Sie sich nach dem Besuch der Einführungsveranstaltung und nach der Registrierung im Learnweb gerne über beres[at]uni-muenster.de an uns. Wenn Sie Fragen haben, die Sie lieber direkt an Studierende in höheren Semestern stellen möchten, wenn Sie sich gerne über fsanglistik[at]uni-muenster.de an die Fachschaft Anglistik und Amerikanistik.

General information for first-semester students (BA)
Please be sure to follow these steps once you have successfully enrolled for English studies at the University of Münster.
1. The C-Test
After enrolment, all students are expected to take the “C-Test” [de].
This test is meant to give you a realistic idea of the current level of your English language abilities. Students who do not achieve at least 70 points in the demo-version of the C-test are asked to improve their language skills independently during the first semester and to re-take the demo-version of the C-test at the beginning of the second semester.2. Students must register for classes electronically on the LSF/QISPOS-PORTAL [de] within the designated registration period before the start of the semester. You received the login information with your enrolment documents. Please be sure to closely follow the module descriptions that appear in the programmes of study (Studienordnung) for your respectice study programme.

- First semester students receive all information concerning class enrolment during the welcome and introductory meeting in October.
- The dates will be made available under the News section on the webpage of the English Department well in advance.
3. Information sessions
Please make sure to join us for our orientation event for BA-students on October 4th at 10-12 a.m. The event takes place at the English Department, Johannisstraße 12-20, Audi Max. We look forward to seeing you there!
