CASES OF HARDSHIP
In certain cases, specific life circumstances can threaten to make studying unusually difficult, for instance for students who…
·… have a disability or chronic illness; or
·… have young children to look after; or
·… are providing nursing care for close relatives.
The university offers several support structures to help such students to cope with their studies, for instance with regard to advisory services, timetable planning, etc. If you are facing such a case of hardship, please contact the Zentrale Studienberatung [de] for further information.
Case of hardship - course registration
If you identify as a case of hardship, please contact us and provide the respective documents as proof.
Course registration: If you are registered with us as a case of hardship, we can admit you to your preferred courses. Please note: Do not follow the usual registration procedure, but contact us with a list of your preferred courses (with course numbers) BEFORE(!!!) the end of the respective course registration period. Only then can we guarantee that you will be admitted.
Students who are parents can now receive an allowance for childcare due to the problematic care situation due to Covid-19. Single parents can be allowed a grant on top of that. Find more information on the website of Münster's office for equality. [de]
