Transfer students, changing programmes, returning students
Enrolment as a transfer student means that you have already studied at a university in Germany and would like to enrol in the same degree programme at the University of Münster at a higher semester.
Enrolment into a different degree programme requires that you unenrol from your current programme and re-enrol in your desired programme. In some cases, you may receive credit for previous coursework and examinations, enabling you to enrol at a higher semester in your new programme. If your coursework is not recognised, you will have to enrol as a first-semester student for non-restricted subjects, or apply for admission if you wish to enrol in an admission-restricted subject.
Enrolment as a returning student means that you interrupted your studies at a university in Germany for whatever reason and now wish to continue the same programme at the University of Münster.
If you wish to enrol in a non-restricted degree programme at a higher semester, please submit your request via the online enrolment portal during the corresponding enrolment period.
To gain admission to an admission-restricted subject at a higher semester, please apply for a higher semester.
