The following application periods are cut-off dates. Please note that special application periods may apply to foreign student applicants. Submission deadlines may also vary for foreign students who wish to apply for participation in an exchange programme. Applications submitted before or after the indicated periods will not be considered.
Applicants from Germany and EU/EEA member states
Summer semester 2018
Restricted-admission bachelor's programmes / State examination, 1st semester
Cut-off dates cannot be extended. In addition to applying online, some applicant groups are also required to submit additional documents. These can be sent to us by post, dropped off personally or deposited into the University's "Deadline Postbox". Applications received after the deadline cannot be considered in the admissions process. Likewise, if you fail to enrol by the date provided in your admissions letter, enrolment will be denied. Your admission will be revoked and your study place will be granted to the next candidate on the waiting list.
If a given deadline happens to fall on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it does not automatically extend as usual to the next working day. Deadlines always end at midnight on the indicated day. To ensure that your application meets the deadline (even on Sundays and public holidays), you can use the "Deadline Postbox" located in front of the Schloss. If an application is deposited after midnight, the "Deadline Postbox" marks the application as submitted on the following day.
If you send us your application by post, please remember that it won't reach us on the same day. The date we receive your application determines whether your application meets the deadline – not when you mailed it. If possible, ask your postal delivery service for a mailing receipt just in case your application gets lost in the mail.
We will notify you by email as soon as we receive your application – usually on the same day. Please save this email confirmation as proof of receipt for later reference.
