The members of the research team neuromotor behavior and exercise have a wide range of professional expertise in sports science like sports medicine, exercise science, biomechanics, sportspsychology, psychology, cognitive science, health sciences, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, biology, physiology, physics). This enables us as a team to work on research topics in an interdisciplinary way and thus gain new scientific knowledge. Further information on current research projects can be found on our Research page. The research focus of the individual members of the team can be found on their personal pages.
We use a broad spectrum of methods that includes sport and movement science, measurement instruments as well as psychological and neuroscientific procedures, including classic motor and cognitive test batteries, e.g. light and magnetic cabinet systems, marker-based movement analysis systems (incl. force plates and EMG), spiroergometry and lactate analyses, virtual systems like GRAIL system, driving simulation as well as systems from neuroscience systems such as EEG, fNIRS and tDCS. More detailed information on the various systems can be found under the laboratory equipment tab.
