"Performance diagnostics in sand” (MotLeistSand)
Due to the increasing interest and professionalism of sports such as Beach Handball and Soccer, talent identification and athlete development are essential so that coaches need to further their teams and to provide the correct training stimulus for physical, technical and athletic adaptation. However, without adequate testing measures which include the feasibility of the measures (in the field), sand moisture and grain size, and sport specificity; coaches are unable to accurately assess such aspects. Therefore, the project aims to create an ecologically valid diagnostic measurements for sports conducted on sand surfaces.
