Bridging the Gaps Professorship (W3 level)

This professorship has been established in the context of the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster within the framework of the German Excellence Strategy. It will play a fundamental role in the future development of Mathematics Münster.

We are looking for a mathematician with an outstanding international research profile whose work connects different fields of mathematics, related to the research goals of our Cluster of Excellence. Cf.

In particular, researchers working at the interface between applied and theoretical mathematics are encouraged to apply. Applications from outstanding young mathematicians are welcome. A visible role in third-party funded projects is expected, as well as participation in our study programs.

Prerequisites for the application are a doctoral degree in mathematics, and academic achievements as a Juniorprofessor (assistant professor), or in a Habilitation (postdoctoral qualification), as a member of the academic staff of a university or non-university research institute, or in a research position in business, administration or other relevant fields in Germany or abroad.
