The position is available from 4 May 2020 at the earliest. This part-time, fixed-term post is available for a period of three years. Currently, the regular working time for part-time (65%) employment is 25 hours and 54 minutes per week.
Job Description
The doctoral researcher will teach 2 hours per week and will contribute to the work and research done at the Sociology of Religion unit. This may for example include collaboration on a cross-national and cross-organizational dataset on religious accommodation. The post provides the opportunity to complete a doctoral dissertation in sociology.
Requirements:
- a master‘s degree in sociology
- good knowledge of quantitative methods of empirical research and the willingness to further improve these skills
- an interest in topics in the field of sociology of religion or sociology of migration
- excellent English writing and communication skills and the willingness to learn German
- additional language skills are welcome

Die Stelle ist auf 3 Jahre befristet. Die regelmäßige Arbeitszeit beträgt bei 65% zurzeit 25 Stunden und 54 Minuten wöchentlich.
Stellenbeschreibung:
Die Stelle umfasst Lehre im Umfang von 2 SWS und die Mitarbeit an den am Lehrstuhl anfallenden Aufgaben. Beispielsweise kann dies die Mitarbeit an einem internationalen und organisationsvergleichenden Datensatz zu “religious accommodation” umfassen. Die Stelle bietet die Möglichkeit zur Promotion im Fach Soziologie.
Voraussetzungen:
- abgeschlossenes Masterstudium in Soziologie
- Gute Kenntnisse in quantitativen Methoden der empirischen Sozialforschung und Bereitschaft diese Methodenkenntnisse zu erweitern
- Interesse an religions- oder migrationssoziologischen Themen
- Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse und bei fehlenden Deutschkenntnissen die Bereitschaft, Deutsch zu lernen
- Weitere Sprachkenntnisse sind von Vorteil
