Summerschool on Analysis and Applied Mathematics

12 - 16 September 2022, in Münster, Germany

The scope of the Summerschool is to offer an overview of modern themes in Applied Mathematics, ranging from modeling issues in physics and materials science to their mathematical analysis by means of advanced techniques in the theory of PDEs and the Calculus of Variations.

Maria Giovanna Mora (Pavia): Nonlocal interaction problems in dislocation theory

Felix Otto (Leipzig): Minimizing movement schemes, with an application to the thresholding scheme for mean curvature flow

Angkana Rüland (Heidelberg): Rigidity, Flexibility and Scaling in the Microstructures in Shape-Memory Materials
