Zoom X: Whiteboard

The Zoom function "Whiteboard" can be used as a presentation surface (comparable to a blackboard) or as a collaborative tool. On the one hand, the moderator can visually present the content of his or her presentation - in addition or as an alternative to a presentation - and on the other hand, the participants can annotate the content, thus enabling everyone to work together on the same document. A variety of tools can be used for this. The results can later be saved as a PNG file and passed on to the participants if required.

  • Using the Whiteboard

In Zoom X you have the possibility to share a whiteboard which you and - if you allow it - the participants of the meeting can edit. To do this, click on the "Share screen" button in the lower menu and then on the "Whiteboard".

The whiteboard with its editing bar opens. Here you can insert text, drawings and stamps, draw attention to these annotations with the spotlight and delete individual drawings with the eraser. To remove larger drawings, the "Delete" menu offers the option to delete your own drawings, the participants' drawings or all drawings.

You can also deactivate/activate annotations by the participants. To do so, click on "Security" or "More" in the upper menu bar.

If you want to add another whiteboard page, you can find the corresponding icon at the bottom right of the whiteboard. Here you can add a new page and switch between the pages.

You can save the results of your work with the whiteboard using the "Save" button in the editing bar.
