Representatives for Impairment - FB 10
The representatives for impairment take care of students and employees with a disability. They advise and support disabled students in applying for compensation of disadvantages in examinations.
According to the survey "Studying with impairments in Germany - best2", 11% of the approximately 2.8 million students in Germany have a study-related health impairment. In most cases, the impairment is not immediately noticeable to third parties.
Since the winter semester 2019/20 student inclusion tutors work at the University of Münster. These are contact persons for students about inclusion in the departments. The main tasks of the inclusion tutors are to pass on information about special counseling offers for students with disabilities and to raise awareness of the design of accessible events, materials and study conditions.
