Disability and Access Resource Centre

Handicapped accessibility and technical suppor

There are numerous lecture halls, seminar rooms, libraries and cafeterias at the University of Münster which are located in older buildings. The Disability and Access Resource Centre provides information on handicapped accessibility and technical support at the University of Münster and helps students find personal solutions to studying with a disability. We advise students to examine the conditions on location before applying for admission or prior to commencing their programme or semester. Personal tours through campus can be arranged anytime to familiarise students with the conditions of accessibility at the University. For a general overview of handicapped accessibility in our University buildings, please consult the campus map.

"Inclusion Tutor” project

Volunteer inclusion tutors [en]have been supporting students with disabilities at the University of Münster since the beginning of winter semester 2019/20. As inclusion tutor, they are responsible for conducting their own projects on the topic of studying with a disability at the University of Münster. Students pursuing a teaching degree can have this activity recognised as an occupational work placement. The next training seminar is scheduled to take place in mid-March 2020. For more information and registration details, please contact the Disability and Access Resource Centre (tobias.grunwald@uni-muenster.de)
