The isomorphism between the Drinfeld and Lubin-Tate spaces at infinite level

10 October 2026 | Kleine AG

In their book on period spaces for p-divisible groups, Rapoport and Zink conjecture a certain duality on the data giving rise to moduli spaces of p-divisible groups, producing an equivariant isomorphism of the generic fibers of the corresponding moduli spaces at infinite level. As a special case of their conjecture, one can recover the famous isomorphism between the Lubin-Tate and Drinfeld spaces at infinite level. This workshop will give a modern proof of this isomorphism using the theory of local shtukas as developed by Scholze and Weinstein in the Berkeley notes, and explore its application to the Jacquet-Langlands correspondence following the work of Hansen and Mann.

Mathematical Research Data Initiative (MaRDI) Annual Meeting

11 – 13 November 2026

The annual MaRDI meeting will bring together researchers to discuss current advances in FAIR mathematical research data, from standards for metadata and ontologies to workflows for reproducible simulations. Central topics include research data in numerical analysis and scientific computing, as well as infrastructures such as knowledge graphs and repositories. The meeting will showcase concrete use cases and tools developed within MaRDI.

Random tessellations and statistical learning

23 April 2027

The aim of this workshop is to gather the researchers working in stochastic geometry with particular focus on random tessellations and those working in statistical learning with a particular focus on methods that utilise random partitions, creating the opportunity to foster new collaborations and get an input on recent developments in both areas.
