Special circumstances for the 2026/2027 winter semester for Bachelor's and state examination programmes

Due to the lack of a school-leaving examination year in North Rhine-Westphalia in the summer of 2026, admission restrictions in the first semester for the winter semester 2026/2027 have been lifted for some (not all!) degree programmes. For this reason, there are a large number of degree programmes with no admission restrictions. This offers a unique opportunity to enrol directly online for certain degree programmes without having to go through the application process.

Please note that for combined degree programmes (all degrees except single-subject Bachelor's degrees and state examinations), an application is always required if one of the subjects has admission restrictions. If all desired subjects are admission-free, please use the online enrolment portal.
