Welcome to the pages of the OpenLab of the Westphalian Wilhelm University Münster (WWU).

The OpenLab at the Institute of Sport and Exercise Sciences offers numerous possibilities for the research of both athletic as well as everyday movements in an interdisciplinary context. The core of the lab are the motion analysis system and the force plates which allow the recording of paths of motion and the involved forces with utmost precision. In addition, equipments for the recording of brain activity, eye movements and muscular activity can be used in combination with a treadmill, ergometer and projection areas. The lab is integrated within the ball sports hall. Thus, the size and height of the premises enable experimental investigations of various research questions, reaching from precise individual movements to experiments with sport teams under realistic conditions.

On the following pages you find information regarding the lab's equipment, projects, the LabTalks as well as events.

Note: Due to the current Corona situation, the LabTalks will take place in a digital version via zoom.

The next LabTalk will take place on Wednesday (15.07.2020) at 5 p.m. Jaro Dietzsch will give a lecture entitled "The effect of skin preparation on skin impedance and assessed EMG amplitude parameters".
