Welcome to the OpenLab!

The OpenLab at the Institute of Sport and Exercise Sciences offers numerous possibilities for the research of both athletic as well as everyday movements in an interdisciplinary context. It consists of four main labs - the Motion Lab, the Neuromotor & Training Lab, the GRAIL, and the Movement Science Lab.

The OpenLab is equipped well and modern: Motion analysis systems and  force plates, equipments for the recording of brain activity, eye movements and muscular activity, or apparatuses such as a treadmill, driving simulator, or an ergometer. The lab enables experimental investigations of various research questions, reaching from precise individual movements to experiments with sport teams under realistic conditions.

    Next LabTalk: Dr. Dario Cazzola

    We invite you to the next LabTalk!

    Dr. Dario Cazzola is the Associate Professor at the University of Bath and works at the 'Centre for Health, Injury and Illness Prevention in Sport‘. He will talk about his work there and the transfer of modeling into practice in his talk titled 'Can modeling and simulation be the 'holy grail' for biomechanists?'.

    The Talk will take place on January 24, 2023 at 4:15 pm, this time only via Zoom.
