Am Center für Interdisziplinäre Wirtschaftsforschung (CIW) des Fachbereichs Wirtschaftswissenschaften der Universität Münster ist zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine
Professur (W2) für Volkswirtschaftslehre
mit Schwerpunkt Politische Ökonomie (Political Economy) zu besetzen.
Die zukünftige Stelleninhaberin/der zukünftige Stelleninhaber ist durch einschlägige Publikationen in international führenden ökonomischen Fachzeitschriften im Themenfeld der Professur wissenschaftlich hervorragend ausgewiesen. Erfahrung bei der Einwerbung von Drittmitteln ist wünschenswert. Sie/er verfügt über die Bereitschaft, die eigenen Forschungsergebnisse an politische Entscheidungsträger und eine breitere Öffentlichkeit zu kommunizieren. Die Einbindung der/des zukünftigen Stelleninhaberin/s in internationale Forschungsnetzwerke ist ausdrücklich erwünscht.
Die zukünftige Stelleninhaberin/der zukünftige Stelleninhaber soll sich einer qualitativ hochwertigen Lehre in deutscher und englischer Sprache verpflichtet fühlen und weist didaktische Kompetenz nach. Die Lehre der Professur findet an der Schnittstelle zu den benachbarten Sozialwissenschaften und zur Rechtswissenschaft statt. Dazu gehört neben dem Angebot entsprechender interdisziplinärer Lehrveranstaltungen, auch im Lehramt, die strategische und organisatorische Programmverantwortlichkeit für die Bachelorstudiengänge „Politik und Wirtschaft“ sowie „Wirtschaft und Recht“. Kandidatinnen/Kandidaten sollten sich zudem in der akademischen Selbstverwaltung engagieren.
Einstellungsvoraussetzungen sind nach § 36 Hochschulgesetz NRW ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium und die besondere Befähigung zu wissenschaftlicher Arbeit, die in der Regel durch eine qualifizierte Promotion nachgewiesen ist. Darüber hinaus sind zusätzliche wissenschaftliche Leistungen erforderlich, die im Rahmen einer Juniorprofessur, einer Habilitation oder einer Tätigkeit als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin oder wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an einer Hochschule oder außeruniversitären Einrichtung oder im Rahmen einer wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit in Wirtschaft, Verwaltung oder in einem anderen gesellschaftlichen Bereich im In- und Ausland erbracht worden sind.

Professorship (W2-level) in Economics
with a focus on Political Economy
We are looking for an exceptional scholar with an outstanding academic record in the field of political economy, substantiated by publications in leading international peer-reviewed economics journals. Experience in acquiring external funding is desirable. The applicant should belong to a strong international research network and demonstrate willingness to communicate their research findings to policymakers and the general public.
The candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching in German and English and must be didactically competent. The teaching focus of the professorship lies at the interface of subject-related social sciences and law. In addition to offering appropriate interdisciplinary courses, including for aspiring teachers, the candidate will also be responsible for the strategic orientation and administration of the bachelor’s degree programmes “Politics and Economics” and “Economics and Law”. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to academic self-administration.
