The Prof Bratschitsch’s research group “Ultrafast solid-state quantum optics and nanophotonics” in the  Institute of Physics in the Faculty of Physics at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a

 

Postdoctoral Research Associate
Wissenschaftlich*r Mitarbeiter*in
(salary level TV-L E 13, 100%)

 

at the earliest possible date. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position (100% FTE) for two years. Fulltime employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester. The position provides the opportunity to work towards further academic qualification.

 

Your tasks:

  • Ultrafast optical spectroscopy of magnetic nanosystems
  • Supporting the research of Prof Bratschitsch’ s workgroup

 

Our expectations:

  • A completed PhD in the natural sciences is required.
  • Experience in and knowledge of exchange-coupled magnetic thin-film systems are required.
  • Experience in and knowledge of optical spin injection into semiconductors are required.
  • Experience in and knowledge of element-specific ultrafast time-resolved Kerr spectroscopy using free electron lasers in the extreme ultraviolet are required.
  • Experience in and knowledge of magnetically doped ZnO nanostructures are required.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the software Origin, Igor and Python are required.
  • German language skills are not a requirement, but a willingness to learn is desirable.
