The Institute of Organic Chemistry in the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Münster,  Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a

 

Doctoral Research Associate
Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in
(salary level TV-L E 13)

 

commencing on 01 February 2024. We are offering a fixed-term part-time position (50 %) for 3 years. Fulltime employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.

 

Your tasks:

  • this position is tied to working towards a doctorate
  • investigating and developing photochemical reactions in micelles
  • collaboration in research and teaching
  • undertaking independent research
  • active engagement in and support for the infrastructure of research group

 

Our expectations:

  • a master´s degree in chemistry, with a focus on organic chemistry is required
  • experience using general laboratory techniques (working under argon atmosphere, conducting lowtemperature experiments) is required
  • experience applying standard analytical methods (LC, GC, GC-MS, HPLC, NMR-spectroscopy and mass spectrometry) is expected
  • experience with micelles is advantageous
  • experience with photochemistry is advantageous
  • good command of written and spoken English is required
  • good command of written and spoken German is advantageous
