The Institute of Organic Chemistry in the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a
Doctoral Research Associate
Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in
(salary level TV-L E 13)
commencing on 01 February 2024. We are offering a fixed-term part-time position (50 %) for 3 years. Fulltime employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.
Your tasks:
- this position is tied to working towards a doctorate
- investigating and developing photochemical reactions in micelles
- collaboration in research and teaching
- undertaking independent research
- active engagement in and support for the infrastructure of research group
Our expectations:
- a master´s degree in chemistry, with a focus on organic chemistry is required
- experience using general laboratory techniques (working under argon atmosphere, conducting lowtemperature experiments) is required
- experience applying standard analytical methods (LC, GC, GC-MS, HPLC, NMR-spectroscopy and mass spectrometry) is expected
- experience with micelles is advantageous
- experience with photochemistry is advantageous
- good command of written and spoken English is required
- good command of written and spoken German is advantageous
