The Institute of Organic Chemistry in the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Münster (WWU), Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a


Doctoral Research Associate
Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in
(salary level TV-L E 13, 50%)


commencing on 1 January 2023. We are offering a fixed-term part-time position (50% FTE) for 3 years.


Your tasks:

  • investigating and developing photochemical reactions in micelles
  • collaboration in research and teaching
  • undertaking independent research

 


This position is tied to working towards a doctorate.


Our expectations:

  • A master´s degree in chemistry, with a focus on organic chemistry is required.
  • Experience using general laboratory techniques (working under argon atmosphere, conducting low-temperature experiments) is required.
  • Experience applying standard analytical methods (LC, GC, GC-MS, HPLC, NMR-spectroscopy and mass spectrometry) is expected.
  • Experience working with micelles is desirable.
  • A background in photochemistry is preferable.
  • Good command of written and spoken English is required.
  • Good command of written and spoken German is advantageous.
