The Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Münster (WWU), Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a


Postdoctoral Research Associate

(salary level TV-L E 13)


in the group of Prof. M. Klasen. commencing on 1 June 2023 or later. Other permanent scientists in the institute include Prof. J. Heitger, PD Dr. K. Kovarik, Prof. A. Kulesza and Jun. Prof. K. Schmitz. The focus area “Particle Physics” includes also experimental groups (ALICE, BESIII, CBM, IceCube, KATRIN, PANDA, and XENON) in the neighbouring Institute for Nuclear Physics. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for initially two years.


Your tasks:
Tasks include active participation in research and teaching in the fields of theoretical nuclear, particle, or astroparticle physics, in particular within the scope of the DFG Research Training Group “Strong and weak interactions – from hadrons to dark matter” as well as a BMBF focus area on LHC physics.


Our expectations:
The prerequisite for this appointment is a Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics.
