IfK student is correspondent for ‘studieren weltweit – ERLEBE ES!’

Joana Galetzka, a bachelor's student at IfK, is an exchange student at the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy at Kaunas University during the 2025/26 winter semester. As a correspondent for ‘studieren weltweit – ERLEBE ES!’, she reports from abroad and provides insights into her ERASMUS semester in Lithuania. From the preparations in Münster to the journey and her new everyday life in Kaunas, you can follow Joana's experiences and impressions on social media. In addition to the positive experiences, she also talks about the challenges one has to face when living abroad.

‘studieren weltweit – ERLEBE ES!’ is a service offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Students who report on their stay abroad on the website and on social media are trained in workshops with speakers from funk (ARD & ZDF content network) and receive a smartphone and a monthly fee. The reports are intended to convince as many young people as possible to spend time abroad and offer an honest impression.

Faculty mobility

In addition to students, lecturers at the Department  can also benefit from the IfK's cooperation agreements. The ERASMUS programme "Mobility for teaching purposes" ("Mobilität zu Unterrichtszwecken") (or STA for "staff teaching agreement") supports guest lectureships of one to six weeks with our European partners. You can find out more about the programme here.
