International Office of the University of Münster

As a support unit of the Rector’s Office, the International Office coordinates the key aspects of the internationalisation of the University of Münster: the implementation of the internationalisation strategy; study periods abroad and exchange programmes; the studies of international students and visits by international researchers to Münster; and advising faculties on international degree programmes, international partnerships and funding opportunities.

The International Office is your first point of contact for all matters related to maintaining, expanding or seeking advice on international exchange programmes. The team at the International Office advises students, academics and staff who are planning a visit abroad, as well as foreign students who wish to study at the University of Münster.

The core areas of responsibility of the International Office are supported, supplemented and coordinated by the Administration, Communication & Events department.

Student mobility

The International Office provides support to students who would like to complete part of their studies at a foreign university. It also advises and assists international students who come to Münster.

Studying at the University of Münster

The International Office supports international students with all matters related to commencing study at the University of Münster. In addition to providing advice and assistance to students during their studies, we also organise numerous get-togethers, activities and events.

Internationalisation

The International Office is strongly involved in internationalising the areas of study and teaching. It offers advice and support, e.g. with establishing integrated mobility windows and double degrees, as well as improving students’ international and intercultural skills.

Staff mobility

The International Office offers support and advice to visiting academics, as well as academic and non-academic staff of the University of Münster who would like to research or work abroad for a time.
