  • Secretariat

    The secretariat is responsible for the coordination and management of all administrative processes in the Department of Communication.

    Karsten Höwelhans (room 209) coordinates and manages all administrative processes in the Department of Communication, and Dagmar Schierenberg (room 228) handles student affairs. All general inquiries can be directed to our secretaries.

  • Library

    The Library at the Department of Communication provides relevant academic resources to help communication students access the information they need.

    One of the most important components of studying communication is comprehensive access to resources for communication and media. Thanks to the vast electronic collections, a broad array of publications in the field of communication studies can be accessed at the Communication Library. The ULB’s extensive Newspaper Archive has been moved to another building.

  • Media Practices

    The The Center for Media Practices helps students to gain practical experience in order to prepare them for professional careers in newspaper, television, publishing, and public relations in public and private sectors.

    The Center for Media Practices at the Department of Communication serves as a bridge between theory and practice. The main purpose of the lab is to help undergraduate students develop high quality media productions. It also supports research and teaching at the Department by providing a comprehensive infrastructure. Moreover, it has the task of making new contacts and maintaining existing ones in the communication economy.

     

  • Service office

    The Service Office will gladly answer your questions and provide general information about studying at the Department of Communication.

    Do you have other questions about your studies? Students are encouraged to visit or call faculty advisor Stephan Völlmicke during his office hours.

  • Virtual Reality and Game Lab

    The Virtual Reality and Game Lab is a research facility at the department of Communication Science at the University of Münster. It is part of the "Online Communication" department headed by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Quandt.
