Installation of the Mattermost-Client for Windows

  1. Software Download

  Download the Mattermost client for Windows from the official Mattermost website.

  

  2. Starting the downloaded file

  Start the installation of the software by clicking on the downloaded file.

  

  3. Adding the WWU Münster Server

  After opening, enter the server: Choose a description for the server (e.g. Universität Münster), enter https://mattermost.uni-muenster.de as the server address and click "Add".

  

  4. App Settings

  You now have the following setting options:

  1. Start the Mattermost client at every Windows start
  2. Activate spell checking
  3. Notification of unread messages in the taskbar
  4. Notification for new message
  5. Graphics card support (recommended)

  

  5. Sign In

  Sign in with your university ID and password.
