What do Rihanna’s and Nicki Minaj’s songs tell us about global dynamics of English? How can we explain the diversity in the sex life of animals? What is dark matter in the universe made of? To find answers to questions like these, you can “tap” the knowledge of 13 researchers from Münster: On three consecutive evenings, scientists will be talking about their work – in bars and restaurants. Following the short lectures, you will have a chance to chat with the researchers – for example, about the opportunities that have arisen because of their work, how they actually arrive at their results, or what fascinates the researchers about their work.

Because scientists from all over the world work in Münster, there will be talks in English as well as German. These talks will be held at two parallel locations on each of the evenings – one location hosting English talks and the other hosting German talks. Entry is free.

Junior scientists from the Cells-in-Motion Cluster of Excellence initiated the event to promote the dialogue between science and society.
