Stages and contents of your training

During your three-and-a-half-year training, you are a permanent member of the team of our specialists in energy and building technology from the very beginning and support the planning and organisation of various electrical installations. In addition to commissioning various components such as switches, sockets or lighting fixtures, you are also responsible for carrying out maintenance work on our safety facilities. Step by step, you will be introduced to fault detection and rectification on electrical systems. Creating measurement and test protocols is no longer a problem for you.

Training institution and theoretical education

  • You will complete the practical part of your apprenticeship in the Technical Facility Management of the University of Münster. Here, you will be deployed in the Electrical Engineering department.
  • The theoretical education takes place in three blocks per year, each lasting four to six weeks at the Hans-Böckler-Berufskolleg [de] in Münster. Additionally, you will receive inter-company training at the Chamber of Crafts.

Duration of the training/possibility of shortening

The apprenticeship lasts three and a half years. A reduction to three years is possible for apprentices with an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or particularly good performance during the apprenticeship and at the vocational college.
