Stations and contents of your training

During your three-year training, you will go through various stations that make your training particularly diverse and varied. You will not only gain detailed insights into the administrative offices and business units of individual institutes as well as departments of the university administration, but you will also get to know the different faculty administrations and examination offices.
In addition to a solid knowledge of information and communication technologies, you will also be taught helpful basics in accounts payable and data and text processing. Step by step, you will independently take on assistant and secretarial tasks and support the personnel administration or the examination office.
Issuing invoices independently, organising trips, or issuing certificates and certificates of achievement are now part of your daily routine.
As part of internal training, the University of Münster also offers you an extensive range of deepening your theoretical knowledge in certain areas. Training institutions & theoretical training

During your training at the University of Münster you will get to know many exciting areas! The various training stations include:

  • administrative offices and business units of individual institutes
  • administrative departments of the university administration
  • faculty administrations (dean’s offices)
  • examinations offices

Trainers are the corresponding administrators or secretaries on site.

Theoretical training takes place two days a week at the Ludwig-Erhard-Berufskolleg in Münster. To optimally combine theory and practice, you will additionally receive internal instruction on selected thematic focal points.

The additional qualification "Europaassistent*in (IHK)" offers particularly capable and motivated trainees the opportunity to take another step in their professional career during their initial vocational training.
