From September 3 to 5, our team participated in the conference of the DVS Health Commission, which this year focused on the forward-looking topic “Smart Health and Sports Science—The Future of Health Promotion, Prevention, and Rehabilitation?”
In the age of wearables and artificial intelligence, we face the exciting challenge of further developing our approaches in a targeted manner. Whether these digital interventions are actually effective at the population level and where the long-term opportunities and risks of AI in sports science lie remain among the central research questions that we are still actively working on. Our scientific presentations at the conference made an important contribution to this: “Determinants of Hair Cortisol and Cortisone Concentrations Among Employees in Long-Term Care Facilities”, presented by Tanja I. Janssen-Masmeier (participation was funded by the Santander Mobility Fund). “BRIDGE Blended Care for Behavioral Activation in Older Multimorbid Individuals with Depressive Symptoms During the Inpatient-Outpatient Transition: Use and Acceptance of a Video-Based Exercise Program”, presented by Claudia Voelcker-Rehage on behalf of Nils Pixa.
