23rd IAGG world congress

Members of our team attended the 23rd IAGG world congress of gerontology and geriatrics from 5. – 8. July, in Amsterdam NL. The theme of the congress was ageing well in a globalised world. Arguably, ageing and quality of life of older adults will be impacted by multiple global developments in the next decade. First, life expectancy will continue to increase across the world, both in developed and developing countries. Second, globalisation will result in a stronger interdependency between countries and continents. Third, the world’s growing population continue to impact our climate, and the consequences raise specific challenges for older adults.

At the 23rd IAGG world congress, member of our Neuromotor, Behaviour and Exercise team presented their research and lead an impactful on-demand session. They also brough back to Münster with them new insights, perspectives and potential collaborations.
