Certificate Documents

What do I do after completing my last examination?

Along with the notification of the subject of your thesis, we normally send you a form to fill out so that we can issue you your final documents. Once you have completed your last examination, send the completed form to the Examinations Office, for otherwise we cannot issue the degree certificates and documents.

What happens then?

Provided that all the examinations are recorded in POS / SAP SLcM, we can issue the degree certificates. These must then be signed by the responsible Dean, and in some cases, also by the chairperson of the examination board. All the degree certificates and documents are subsequently sent to you by registered mail.

Can you send the documents to a different address?

Unfortunately, that is not possible. As a rule, degree certificates and documents can only be sent to addresses on file at the Student Admissions Office. Upon prior arrangement, you may also pick up the degree documents in person from the Examinations Office.

About de-registration:

You will find all information on de-registration on the website of the Student Admissions Office.

Can my degree certificates be issued even after I have de-registered?

As long as you have completed all degree-relevant examinations and required coursework prior to de-registration, it shouldn’t be a problem. However, you are not permitted to complete degree-relevant examinations or required coursework after de-registering.

Issued certificates for Art as a second subject or in cooperation with FH Münster

If one of your subjects is Art, it may take a little longer to issue you your certificate because representatives of both participating subjects are required to sign the degree certificates and documents. Please bear this in mind when making your plans.
