Closure on Bridge Days

During the Bridge Days

10 and 31 May 2024

the offices of the Examination Office won't be manned.

Attention: opening hours on 08.02 and 12.02.2024!

Please note that there will be no afternoon consultation hours (13:30-15:30) on February 8, 2023 and that we will be closed all day on February 12, 2024.

Effects of the Corona pandemic

Most of the information about special regulations of the exam organization during the Corona pandemic has been deleted from this page, because they are no longer valid since 01.04.2023. Meaning: For all examinations, the examination conditions provided by the regular examination regulations will apply again as of SoSe 2023. Also free attempts, conditions of exam withdrawal and possibilities for grade improvement are exclusively regulated by the regular examination regulations for all exams from SoSe 2023.

Digital processes

During the Corona pandemic, many of the Examination Office's paper-based work processes were transferred to digital procedures. In general, we would like to maintain these procedures. However, in some cases the examination regulations require the written form. We have adapted much of the information on this in the "Forms" section.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to maintain digital procedures in their entirety for all processes, because some processes require the written form. This results from the examination regulations and data protection requirements. It affects the following processes:

For insights into examinations, sending via email will only be possible in exceptional cases. You usually have to come to the examination office for an insight into your examination.

Provisional final documents will have to be handed over to you on paper again. Please come to our office hours to pick them up (or send someone with a power of attorney).

Please note that it may take more time to process paper documents than sending them digitally. Therefore, plan accordingly for more processing time when requesting documents.

An exception is the possibility of online examinations (see next point).

Online examinations in SoSe 2023

In degree programs with examination regulations that provide for electronic or online examinations, these forms can continue to be offered. The Rectorate has also created this option in all other study programs for SoSe 2023. The decision on the mode of the respective examination is made by the departmental councils of the departments if it is not already regulated in the examination regulations. Decisive for the decisions of the departments are didactic reasons for further testing of online examinations.
