Target group: doctoral and postdoctoral researchers

Research is a marathon, not a sprint. This interactive workshop offers practical strategies and reflective exercises to help you sustain motivation, overcome common challenges and make progress in your research and writing.

Topics covered include:

  • How to set clear, achievable goals and manage competing priorities
  • Strategies for overcoming procrastination and maintaining momentum, especially during long projects or text revision
  • Ways to balance research, writing, and personal life
  • How to handle setbacks, rejections, and negative feedback constructively
  • Building a support network and seeking help when needed
  • Instruments and habits for productivity, focus and self-care

Objectives:

  • Apply goal-setting frameworks to break-down long-term projects into actionable steps

  • Maintain focus and productivity over extended periods of time

  • Develop suitable approaches to manage stress, setbacks and feedback in academic settings

  • Identify and activate support systems to foster resilience and collaboration

If you would like to participate in this event and it is already marked as fully booked, you are welcome to join the waiting list.
