NEUERSCHEINUNG: Ethics and Oncology. New Issues of Therapy, Care, and Research
The advances in oncological therapy, as well as the knowledge of the limitations to what is possible, pose major ethical challenges to health care teams and patients. Given the obvious lack of ethical reflection and in view of the goal of good care for cancer patients this anthology presents interdisciplinary insights in communication and nursing, medico-ethical questions, e. g. of fertility preservation and sibling stem cell donation, end-of-life decision making, and opportunities and risks of clinical cancer research.
European experts from medicine, nursing, theology, philosophy, and social sciences address selected new issues of therapy, care, and research in order to deepen a helpful and responsible health care for cancer patients.
