The amount of the Erasmus+ mobility grant depends on the destination country; each country is categorised into three country groups by the EU. The monthly funding rates for each country group are set by the NA DAAD for all universities in Germany.

Depending on the amount of funding granted to the University of Münster by the NA DAAD and the number of students going abroad, stays may not be fully funded.

If this is the case, the duration of the stay is divided into funded and non-funded periods. The non-funded periods are referred to as zero-grant periods.
