CuriousU – Summer school at the University of Twente, 14 – 23 August 2022
WWU Münster and the University of Twente (NL) have long been closely connected. We are therefore pleased to inform our students about the international Summer School of the University of Twente, CuriousU, in August 2022. The target group is all interested parties, especially Bachelor students in their final or penultimate year of study and beginning Master students (including those from other disciplines). The Summer School will be held in English (B2-level language skills recommended). Up to four WWU students can participate in CuriousU free of charge (details under How do I apply?).

When and where does the summer school take place?
From 14 to 23 August 2022 on the campus of the University of Twente (Enschede, the Netherlands).
What are the costs?
Up to four WWU students can participate in the Summer School free of charge. They will not be charged for their chosen course, registration, overnight stay in the tent, course materials, WiFi, meals and coffee/tea, cultural activities and use of the UTwente sports centre. (For overnight tent accommodation, UTwente will provide the tent itself (2m x 2m) as well as an air mattress and pillow, sleeping bag and torch. Other types of accommodation are available but must be paid for). Travel costs, insurance and other personal expenses must be paid by the students themselves.
To get one of these free places, an application through the International Office of the WWU is necessary (details under How do I apply?).
If more than four students submit their complete application to the International Office of the WWU by the deadline of 18 May 2022, the free places will be drawn among them.
Students who do not receive one of the free places will have the opportunity to decide after the draw whether they still want to participate in CuriousU. If they do, they will pay 775 euros to participate in the Summer School, including registration, accommodation in a tent, course materials, WiFi, meals and coffee/tea, as well as use of the UTwente sports centre. For them, too, other types of accommodation are available but have to be paid for. Students must also pay for travel expenses, insurance and other personal costs.
- Submit a letter of motivation (length approx. 1 DIN A4 page) and your CV (both in English) via email. Please also indicate which course(s) of the Summer School you would like to attend and which type of accommodation you choose (tent, log cabin, student residence, hotel), as well as an emergency contact (name, phone number).

The free places will only be drawn among the applicants who have submitted their complete application to the International Office of the WWU by the deadline of 18 May 2022.
What if I have missed the application deadline?
It is still possible to apply after the deadline, but then directly at the University of Twente. In this case, the costs are 775 euros for registration until 1 July 2022, and 875 euros thereafter.
