Dr Ross Julian featured on a recent podcast

We’re delighted to share that Dr Ross Julian from the Department of Neuromotor Behavior and Exercise was recently a guest on a podcast, where he spoke about his research journey and current work in sport science and women’s football. In the conversation, Ross shares what first sparked his interest in researching the effects of the menstrual cycle on football performance and discusses his contributions to Women’s Football: From Science to High Performance, including three chapters focused on menstrual cycle monitoring, applied practice, and demonstrating performance benefits to encourage stakeholder investment.
He also outlines his vision for the future of physiological and physical profiling in women’s football, reflects on findings from his recent publication Sex differences in cognitive performance persist into your 80s, and discusses differences between academic cultures in Germany and the UK, before touching on his future research plans.
