The quality management processes applicable to degree programmes comprise a central element of the QMS. These are defined in the Quality Management Regulations of the University of Münster. A distinction is made between the following processes:

Implementing new degree programmes

There are various reasons for creating new degree programmes. But what does this process look like in the QMS? How is the curriculum developed? What role does accreditation play as a prerequisite for starting one's studies?

Developing existing degree programmes

To ensure the quality of the University's degree programmes, they are regularly reviewed and revised as needed with the help of the QMS. How does this ongoing development process work? What role do degree programme conferences play in this process?

Discontinuing degree programmes

The faculties and Rectorate work together to ensure that students are offered a portfolio of attractive and successful degree programmes. However, various considerations can result in the discontinuation of a degree programme. How is the process for discontinuing a degree programme structured?

Amending examination regulations

A wide range of circumstances can lead to changes in examination regulations. What needs to be considered when changing examination regulations in the QMS? How does the so-called "regulatory review" work? What steps are involved in enacting the amended examination regulations?

Degree programmes with additional legal requirements

Additional legal requirements apply to a number of degree programmes at the University of Münster. Which degree programmes are affected? What impact do the additional legal requirements have within the framework of the University's QMS?
