Enrolement

You must officially enrol at the University of Münster before you can commence your studies. Please read the information concerning enrolment procedures carefully – especially regarding the enrolment deadlines – provided in your notification of admission. Please note that enrolment deadlines cannot be extended. However, online enrolment can be completed from home.
To enrol, you will have to present confirmation of health insurance coverage. If you don’t have proof of health insurance coverage at the time of online enrolment, you can present the certificate in person at the Student Admissions Office when you officially enrol. Some applicant groups are required to present additional documents at enrolment or send them in advance by post. A list of these documents will be provided when you enrol online. Note to language course students in the preperatory DSH courses:

If you wish to participate in the DSH German language course, you must first sign up to take a placement test (registration is binding).  Please note the enrolment deadline indicated in your admission letter. Make sure to take along your passport and confirmation that you have been admitted for the placement test. The DaF (German as a Foreign Language) department informs all course participants via email as soon as possible about whether they passed the test or not. The Student Admissions Office will contact you by email during the first week of the course with information about the next steps of the enrolment process.

Important:
If you do not pass the placement test, you will not be allowed to participate in the preperatory language courses at the University.
