A milestone on the academic journey

Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science celebrated doctoral graduates

On 3 July 2026, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science held its graduation ceremony in the "Schloss". All doctoral graduates who successfully completed their doctorate in the past year were invited to attend, along with their families and friends.

During the event, the newly awarded graduates presented highlights from their doctoral studies and shared insights into their research findings, showcasing the broad range of topics covered within the faculty.

Following the presentations, the official oath ceremony and the presentation of the doctoral certificates were conducted by the dean, Prof. Dr Arthur Bartels. The musical framework was provided by Chun-Kai Chien, who created a festive atmosphere with piano pieces by Franz Schubert, George Gershwin and Sergei Wassiljewitsch Rachmaninow.
