In search of model structures for non-equilibrium systems

24 - 28 April 2023, Münster, Germany

The workshop focuses on the availability, derivation and discovery of variational principles for non-equilibrium systems, in particular, those which connect model structures on different lengths and time scales via microscopic derivations, such as hydrodynamic limits. We bring together physicists and mathematicians to discuss recent progress for specific systems as well as regarding general principles. The event shall foster interactions that can potentially result in major advances.

Schedule

The workshop starts on Monday 24 April at 13:00 with the registration in the second floor of the SRZ building and ends on Friday 28 April at lunchtime.

There will be a Poster session with Pitch talks in late afternoon on Monday with a reception in the early evening.

The conference dinner is on Tuesday 25 April at Schlossgarten Café.

The tentative schedule can be downloaded as PDF.

The Book of Abstract is also available as PDF and a limited number of printouts will be available during registration.

In the seminar room there is a blackboard with two panels, one behind the other. The beamer cannot be used simultaneously because the projection area overlaps with the raised board.
