Ulrike Krause ist Professorin für Politikwissenschaft mit dem Schwerpunkt Konstitution und Politik der Geschlechterverhältnisse und leitet das Center for International Gender Studies (CIGS).
Das Team der Professur konzentriert sich auf vergeschlechtlichte postkoloniale Machtverhältnisse in globalen und lokalen Politiken, Geschlechterverhältnisse im Kontext von Konflikt, Flucht und Gewalt sowie intersektionale Perspektiven auf politische Agency.

Lebenslauf
Ulrike Krause ist seit August 2024 Professorin für Politikwissenschaft mit dem Schwerpunkt Konstitution und Politik der Geschlechterverhältnisse am Institut für Politikwissenschaft der Universität Münster, wo sie das Center for International Gender Studies (CIGS) im September 2025 initiiert hat. Zudem ist sie seit Juni 2017 affiliierte Research Associate am Refugee Studies Centre und am Oxford Department of International Development der University of Oxford.
Zuvor war sie an der FH Münster, der Universität Osnabrück, der Ruhr-Universität Bochum und der Philipps-Universität Marburg tätig. 2012 wurde sie an der Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg promoviert. 2008-2013 hatte sie Positionen in der internationalen Zusammenarbeit in den Bereichen Gender Mainstreaming, Flüchtlingsschutz und Menschenrechte inne.

Ulrike Krause is Professor of Political Science with a Focus on Constitution and Politics of Gender Relations and leads the Center for International Gender Studies (CIGS).
The team focuses on gendered postcolonial power relations in global and local politics, gender relations in the context of conflict, displacement, and violence, as well as intersectional perspectives on political agency.

Bio
Ulrike Krause is Professor of Political Science with a Focus on Constitution and Politics of Gender Relations at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Münster since August 2024, where she initiated the Center for International Gender Studies (CIGS) in September 2025. She is also Affiliated Research Associate at the Refugee Studies Centre and the Oxford Department of International Development at the University of Oxford since June 2017.
Previously, she worked at the University of Applied Sciences Münster, Osnabrück University, Ruhr University Bochum, and Marburg University. In 2012, she received her doctorate from Magdeburg University. From 2008 to 2013, she held positions in international cooperation in the fields of mainstreaming, refugee protection, and human rights.
