SPSS Update und FixPack
Before you can install the FixPack, SPSS Statistics must first be updated to the current version. Choose the instructions that are appropriate for you:
Download and install the update package for SPSS Statistics 27 to 27.0.1
Step 1: Download the update package
The installation files to be downloaded for the update of Statistics 27 to 27.0.1 are as follows:
Windows: 27.0-IM-S27STATC-WIN64-MD001.exe
MacOS: 27.0-IM-S27STATC-Mac-MD001.pkg
Linux: 27.0-IM-S27STATC-Linux8664-MD001.bin

Make sure that SPSS Statistics is closed and open the installation package you just downloaded and follow the steps of the installation wizard. Statistics will open automatically after installation. Exit the program and continue with the installation of the FixPack.Download and install the update package for SPSS Statistics 28 to 28.0.1
Step 1: Download the update package
The installation files to be downloaded for the update of Statistics 28 to 28.0.1 are as follows:
Windows: SPSS_Statistics_28.0.1.0_win64.exe
MacOS: SPSS_Statistics_Clit_28.0.1.0_Mac.pkg
Linux: As of version 28, IBM unfortunately no longer offers installation packages for Linux.

Make sure that SPSS Statistics is closed and open the installation package you just downloaded and follow the steps of the installation wizard. Statistics will open automatically after installation. Exit the programme and continue with the installation of the FixPack.
Now that SPSS Statistics is up to date, the next step is to install the FixPack.

FixPack for SPSS Statistics 27.0.1 - Windows and UNIX
Step 1: Close SPSS Statistics.
Step 2: Navigate to the installation folder of Statistics 27.0.1 (e.g. $SPSS_HOME or 'C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Statistics\27').
Step 3: Locate the following files and move them to a backup folder outside the installation folder:
$SPSS_HOME/log4j-core-2.13.3.jar
$SPSS_HOME/log4j-api-2.13.3.jar
$SPSS_HOME/log4j-1.2-api-2.13.3.jar
$SPSS_HOME/as-3.2.3.0/lib/log4j-core-2.13.3.jar
$SPSS_HOME/as-3.2.3.0/lib/log4j-api-2.13.3.jar
$SPSS_HOME/common/ext/bin/spss.cognos.9/log4j-1.2.17.jarStep 4: Copy the files from the FixPack archive (log4j-core-2.17.0.jar, log4j-api-2.17.0.jar, log4j-1.2-api-2.17.0.jar) to the following folders:

$SPSS_HOME/as-3.2.3.0/lib/
$SPSS_HOME/common/ext/bin/spss.cognos.9/Step 5: SPSS Statistics is now ready for use.
FixPack for SPSS Statistics 27.0.1 - macOS
Step 1: Close SPSS Statistics.
Step 2: Navigate to the installation folder of Statistics 27.0.1 (e.g. $SPSS_HOME or '/Applications/IBM SPSS Statistics 27/').
Step 3: Locate the following files and move them to a backup folder outside the installation folder:
